This particular blend is named after one of my favorite desserts. This flower is used by Native Americans in their traditional medicine and rituals. The flowers have medicinal properties that are beneficial to the skin. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The Navajo tribe holds the flower in high regard as one of their sacred Life Medicines. I want to make this reel because I want to explain that sometimes I feel guilty when my husband goes into the office and my son goes to high school and I get to be here in this beautiful place. This will be the debut for this delicious item because after this Thursday, it will be on the menu permanently. It consists of perfectly seasoned, shredded chicken finished with orange and lime zest and juice and served in a homemade naan bread topped with…well, I’m working on that. It’ll be delicious no matter what! This will be served with fries and dessert, which most of you hard core fans know, to be our famous Crack Rocca! There are lots of woody plants here and the deer, the male deer, particularly appreciate these lilacs and left proof of rubbing antlers on them, for who knows how many years before we bought the farm. 😢 We’ve weeded around all the lilacs at this point, I think. They display all these beautiful buds, and I’m excited to see them come to life soon. Mystery work. Yesterday Steve and I spent hours w Mystery work. Yesterday Steve and I spent hours weeding in the perennial field. He worked to finish the first of three rows of peonies. It’s a little easier to work around shoots that are coming up than the existing woody plants. I wish I had a map of how the previous farmers planted this field. I’m weeding around these woody plants, and I don’t know what they are. I also don’t know if they’re still alive. But we are going to give them the best chance to thrive this spring and summer. I’m not sure what percentage of the weeding is done in this field, and I’m going to celebrate what we have accomplished. Today on the farm. Steve took on weeding and our Today on the farm. Steve took on weeding and our largest flower field. We keep telling ourselves this is going to be the toughest year because it’s been neglected for three or four years. It’s gonna be so worth it. These plants already look happier. He began counting and estimates that there are more than 300 penny plants. I didn’t think there were that many but he’s right. I wonder how many blooms there will be. 🤔 I took on repairing the irrigation drip tape so we can begin watering all the perennials in this field. This gorilla product made the process so much easier than I expected.
